Ab Workouts At Home

Many people think that to have an awesome looking six pack, that you need to go to the gym for hours every single day. But the truth is, you can do all the exercises you need right in the comfort of your own home. Even better is that it won't take you long each day to do the amount of exercise required. Ab workouts at home can be done in less than 10 minutes a day. So you will have no excuses anymore!

The most important thing about Ab workouts at home is you must vary the types of Ab exercises you do. Do not just concentrate on one exercise because you won't be able to work the lower and upper abs. You'll just be working one or the other. So you should vary the exercises and also the amount of reps and sets you perform. That will really shock the Abs into excessive growth.

The first exercise you should bring into your Ab workout is the Crunch. Lie down flat on your back and put your hands behind your head. Bend your knees and put your feet flat on the floor. Then pull up with your head but make sure you aren't pulling yourself up with your hands. All the work should be being down by the Abs. When you begin, you should do as many as you can without feeling any pain or discomfort. Don't limit yourself to a certain number of reps. Just do as many as you can until you get used to the exercise.

Once you perform a couple of sets of basic Crunches, then you can try the twist Crunch. This time you will twist your body on the way up. Try to aim your left elbow towards your right knee and vice versa. This works out the side oblique's and is great at removing those stubborn love handles!

If you want more advanced Ab workouts at home, then you could purchase an Ab workout machine but this is not essential nor really needed. You will be able to train your Abs sufficiently just by using Crunches. Balance this with a low fat, high protein diet and your Abs should start to show within just a few months.
