So What Are The Best Abs Exercises?
To work on the lower abs, there is a variety of exercises that you can comfortably without needing any extra equipment. Bent knee abdominal hip raises are very popular and work very well. To do these, lie on your back in a sit-up position but this time have your arms laid beside you rather than having your hands behind your head. Then you raise your knees towards your head and perform a crunch. This really works the lower abs and should help to flatten them. Try to do as many as you can, rest for a minute then repeat.
To work on the upper abs, again there are many exercises that you can do in your own home. A similar one to the above but used to work the upper abs is the overhead abdominal crunch. You lie on your back with your knees bent. Put your arms flat behind your head and then crunch so that your try to reach an area above your knees with your hands. The lower half of the body is kept static in this exercise and it is just the upper body that moves. The amount of reps you do depends on your exercise level and strength of your abs.
To work the oblique's, there are similar exercises too. One that works well is the oblique twist. This is similar to the oblique crunch but there is no crunch involved. Lie on your back with your knees bent. Then lift your upper body and touch your knees. Hold that position but reach your arms out to the left, then to the right. This really hits your oblique's and you should feel them working as you train.
Combine these all together and you'll have the best abs exercise routine
