The beer belly, the spare tyre, the barrel, there are many names that are referred to a large stomach. Some are used in fun, some in medical and physical ways and some used to hurt people. If you want to eliminate belly fat for good, then you need a combination of diet of exercise. There are no shortcuts that will work nor that you should try. You need to exercise everyday and eat a well balanced diet. That is the only true way to safely and quickly lose fat from your body.

The plan is quite simple, do aerobic exercises one day, then anaerobic exercise the next day. Alternate between these movements and have one day off per week. The aerobic exercise can be running, jogging even walking to begin with but just make sure you make it last for an hour a day. Any less and your body won't be up to its optimum calorie burning level.

The anaerobic exercise should be weight training or basic exercises, such as press-ups and sit-ups. Weight training will help in burning off the excess fat and also strengthening your body and making you feel fitter. Again, you should be doing this for an hour a day. This can be before work, after work or even during your dinner hour. You could easily go for a walk for an hour whilst eating your dinner at the same time. There's no excuse to not fit it in!
